Separated and Divorced Support Systems

Tuesday, January 1st, 2013

No one who marries ever thinks their marriage will end in divorce. Our society is NOT providing couples with the coping skills they need to take care of these issues. More and more couples are struggling with raising their children in stress free homes and staying healthy in the process.

This course will provide you the emotional support you need to take care of your families.

Are you trying to work through a maze of decisions

Single parenting
Finances, employment decisions
Remarriage and blended families
Family reactions to the
Legal conflicts
Single life
Managing holiday and
special events schedules

We will discuss the specific needs of the children when they learn about the separation and how to work to support them as they adjust to the divorce. Starting with reassuring children that the divorce is not their fault to supporting them when they worry about which parent to say hello to first after a little league baseball game to parenting teens whose busy schedules make them rebel against the visitation schedule.

For parents, we will talk about how to stay healthy when you feel exhausted or worry if there will be enough money, and how to eat, sleep and exercise when you are so angry and hurt you could scream.
